Learn about The Sims 4 on Mac, the system requirements, and playing on Mac and PC. Mar 15, 2015 Today I show you guys how I install custom content for the Sims 4 on my Mac laptop. I also give a few CC tips as well as where I find most of my CC. Okay so you have to delete the previous version of the game, but you can save your game saves, mods, and your downloaded lots by taking these folders: Mods folder, which has the mods, Saves folder, which has your game saves, and the Tray folder, which has your downloaded houses; out of “Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.” You should put those three folders in Desktop. You can delete the old version of the game by going to applications, right click the game icon and press “move to trash” After you downloaded the new version, launch the new game and then exit it, the new Mods, Saves, and Tray folders should show up in the new game folders. Go back to Desktop, take all the files in each of the three folders, and place it in the new folders of the game. Relaunch the new version of the game, and all of you game data is back!
